How to make your blow dry last
There's nothing quite like a fresh, bouncy blow dry, is there? So when we get one, it goes without saying that we strive to keep it looking as good as new for as long as possible. In fact, if we're honest we'd do pretty much anything to make it last an extra day or two.
With this in mind, we called upon some of our best hair pros and asked them for their top tips on how to make a blow dry last as long as possible - in some cases, up to 7 days. Take note...
You can look, but don't touch
We know, we know. Your hair feels amazing and it's hard not to run your fingers through it or twiddle the ends - but touching it will cause it to drop, become greasy and loose its shape.
Invest in a silk pillowcase
A silk pillowcase will really help keep your hair soft and shiny after your blow dry. What's more, it'll help fight frizz and be kinder to your skin while you sleep.
Dry shampoo is your BFF
This is ultimately your secret weapon if you want to extend the life of that bouncy blow dry. When greasy roots ruin your Kate Middleton-esque do, or you need to revive it and pump and little more volume in, a few sprays of dry shampoo will bring it back to life.
Brush gently
If you do need to brush your locks, use a soft bristled brush - this will help keep your hair looking smooth instead of leaving it fluffy.
Add some curl
Once you get to day three of four, if you want to add a little more body and refresh the style then use a curling want to add texture and prolong the style by a few more days.
